City Prepares for May 1st Immigration March
Preparations are continuing for a May 1st immigrant rights march in downtown Phoenix.
“Until the march, we are conducting weekly meetings with the organizers and everybody that’s involved in the situation,” said Phoenix Police Detective Stacie Derge. “And so we have various representatives from the police departments in those meetings.”
March Route 1) Begin at Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum at 8:30 a.m.
2) Proceed southeast on Grand Avenue to Van Buren Street.
3) Turn left on Van Buren to Third Avenue.
4) Turn right on Third Avenue to Washington Street.
5) Turn right on Washington Street and proceed to the State Capitol.
