Today Taps will be played
Today Taps will be played
Today Taps will be played for those innocent lost at Fort Hood, today we will mourn the loss of our brothers and sisters who did not die on a battle field far away but on the battle field here at home. They are casualties in this continued war of terror that is being waged against this great nation that some would rather not recognize, and some will not even acknowledge any longer because political correctness is the way of the day.
I am not going to mince words and I am not going to play along with the whole political correctness when I look at what happened and who and why the person that caused so much pain to so many and I am going to call it for what it is, this guy is a terrorist and he perpetrated this terrorism in the name of Islam. We need to wake up in this country because we do have Enemies that walk among us and we have the Enemy within.
What I am writing about today is asking to remember those that we lost and to observe a moment of silence throughout your day today in honor of those we lost and those that were wounded in this ongoing war. Today at Fort Hood they will be holding a memorial service in honor of those that were lost last Thursday and Taps will be played, these words are the popular words that accompany the Bugle call even though there is no official song to accompany the solemn melody they are fitting.
Day is done,
Gone the sun,
From the hills,
From the lake,
From the sky.
All is well,
Safely rest,
God is nigh.
Go to sleep,
Peaceful sleep,
May the soldier or sailor,
God keep.
On the land or the deep,
Safe in sleep.
Love,
Good night,
Must thou go?
When the day,
And the night
Need thee so?
All is well. Speedeth all
to their rest.
Fades the light; And afar
Goeth day,
And the stars
Shineth bright,
Fare thee well; Day has gone,
Night is on.
Thanks and praise, For our days,
‘Neath the sun, Neath the stars,
‘Neath the sky,
As we go,
This we know,
God is nigh.
Please throughout your day today find a moment and say a prayer for these brave and innocent souls that we lost in this battle that is waged against you and I that has now reached our shores once again.
