Silently into the night
Silently into the night
Carolyn Hileman
If you have not already figured it out the democrats are planning to pass the healthcare bill, they are back to saying they want a bipartisan bill which we all know is a bald faced lie. The republicans could not stop this if they wanted to, this is all democrats. This will be the democrat party legacy, forcing a healthcare plan down the throats of the American people, a people who took their time to go to town halls to tell them no. This is to be what the democrat party of 2009 will be remembered for, this is their destiny. I will not go into the specifics of the bill since I will be called a liar if I do, but the simple fact of the matter is the people said no.
Not one place in the Constitution or the Bill of rights gives our legislators the right to impose government run healthcare or anything else for that matter. As a matter of fact amendment 10 of our Constitution give rights not delegated to the United States or prohibited by it to the States or the people. It really does not matter though; they use the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as recycled toilet paper. The only time they bother to mention it is when they think they can use it against us. This is a sad day in America, a sad bookmark in history, the day the healthcare bill passes and it will our legislators will have turned back time to 1776. The Declaration of Independence shall at that time be officially null and void, our great heritage of freedom lost forever, over shadowed by the moment a free people submitted to Totalitarianism.
Totalitarianism is when the government controls every single aspect of your life, a classic example of it would be Stalin, to say we are not at that point would be utter folly, our government now has regulated the banks, auto companies, Wall Street, is about to start a government tourism agency and will soon dictate what healthcare you can or cannot receive, as well as what your energy prices will be and just what you can say and where you can say it. They are giving him emergency power over the internet, he has a man in the FCC that is planning to fine radio companies if they do not air what they say, the fine to be as much as they make in one day. He has appointed Czars or emperors to regulate just about everything, czars that I might remind you have not been vetted by either house, who were not voted for and have power to do as they wish with no accountability.
At this point they are using threats and intimidation against both the insurance companies and the American people, for the insurance companies they either comply with their demands or the public option will take affect, for the people, if you do not get coverage they will fine you $3,800. Our government power hungry and lacking any morals is now sticking its long arm into businesses left and right, threatening them to make them comply with their every whim, which business is to be next, what will their demands be. There is a difference between using a bully pulpit and regulating every single aspect of our lives, this has gotten so far out of control that most Americans are afraid to get up in the morning and find out what else they have done. Now I ask you, do we weakly submit to this regime, do we silently allow for this administration and our legislators to issue us a national healthcare card? Are we of the stock of the great fighters who brought about our freedom or will we go silently into the night?
