Those of us who thought something was wrong with the president speaking to our children at school and the required work to do before and after his speech were right. I kept thinking this has to be illegal so I contacted Liberty Counsel; they are a wonder bunch of attorneys I told them my concerns and they said they would look into it and guess what, Federal law expressly forbids the Secretary of Education or any officer from exercising “any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system.” 20 U.S.C. § 3403. The President must cease this illegal activity.
Of course we all know nothing will be done, even though this is supposed to be the most intelligent president we have ever had, he is a lawyer and has a lawyer on staff and he did what he knew was illegal to begin with, because Nancy Pelosi and the democrats have control of the House he cannot be impeached. So basically he is going to try and do anything he can get away with as long as he knows for a fact he cannot be punished. I think we should keep a running tally of all of the illegal things this man has done and when 2010 gets here we need to demand impeachment proceedings.
Now we could do that now, but even if we managed to get them to start them it would end up like trial of the cops for the Rodney King beatings. Besides once it gets through the House the senate gets their turn and how many of us believe Dictator Reid will do anything to him. We are stuck with him at least until November 2010 after that if the people will vote out his cohorts we just might have a chance at removing him from the white House. But for now just be satisfied that you were right, as parents you believed it was wrong for the president to address your children while you were not there and not only is it wrong it is illegal.
