President Barack Obama, you’ve overwhelmed “We The People.” Since you were given the prestige of the highest office in the land, there has not been one day of peace or tranquility for the citizens of our country. Many Americans are feeling frustrated and angered, and rightfully so.

One could say you’ve eroded away the last of the American people’s trust, respect, and patience. You’re now threatening to intrude into every facet of our daily lives, and enough is enough.

Thou shalt not bear false witness

We see you as the “number one” community organizer sitting in the White House. The members of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and union thugs are being mobilized to counter the truth at public gatherings. They are sent out for the sole purpose of confronting, threatening, intimidating, and maligning your opponents, including those among America’s elderly who’ve come to stand up for their rights at town hall meetings. — View YouTube)

Very few believe you anymore. Only those who refuse to listen to reason remain gullible. Their minds are still open to your deceptive lies. You used cunningly-crafted words and theatrics during the 2008 election to con half of America into thinking you were a special and decent man of integrity, but even your Democrat constituents are becoming aware of what you are. You and your political cronies are corrupt to the hilt, like the rest of the Daley Chicago political machine.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me

America’s citizens are patriots, and they are no longer willing to remain silent. Now they are fighting for their lives — literally — and for the future of generations to come. Indeed, your godless heath care policies pose a threat to every man, woman, and child living in this country.

You caught many of us off guard, but today we have no intention of turning back or being quieted down. Our eyes have been opened. The greatest threats facing us today have come from within our own government, and from you, playing God.

The old saying “the buck stops here” is certainly applicable in your case. It’s your administration’s recent actions — not the actions of protesters — that are un-American. You appear less and less presidential as you shake that scornful finger in our faces.

Who would ever have believed there would be a snitch website set up in America to turn in fellow citizens who disagree with your ungodly policies, or that the White House would spam personal e-mails with propaganda? This is Orwellian lunacy, and profoundly immoral.

Honor thy father and thy mother

President Obama, your entire administration has shown us nothing less than disdain. To use words right out of the mouth of the First Lady, it is “downright mean-spirited.”

Many of the same senior citizens you are now deriding voted for you. Now, without any regard for the voices of the American public, you’ve moved us into a battlefield over “Advanced Care Planning.” No one wants to give big government the latitude to rummage through our personal health care records, and we definitely do not want government in charge of our bodies. — View YouTube)

According to America’s Affordable Health Choice Act of 2009, Section 1233 of “Advanced Care Planning,” every five years patients would be reviewed and re-evaluated. The intent is to have seniors standing in front of an admission office that would send them right into a nursing home facility, a long-term care facility, or a “hospice program.”

How dare you presume to make these decisions for our loved ones and families? We are not a euthanasia-embracing country, and we intend to remain that way.

Thou shalt not steal

Mr. President, you’ve gone down a path that only a small, twisted minority of Americans condone. How many ways do we have to say “no” to big government and your so-called social-justice philosophy? We do not want any form of socialism embedded into or replacing our republic.

We’re fed up with life-changing and comprehensive policies shoved down our throats without any input allowed. The stimulus bills have done nothing but stifle America’s free-market system. What you have done to a once-thriving economy (including what you did before you became president) is almost unforgivable. We know what took place during the Fannie and Freddie housing debacle. We understand who was to blame. You and your party have further compounded our fiscal problems, and now you seek control over our very lives — and death.

Americans find themselves forced to fend off your insidious attack on our health care system. Well-Informed people do not want rationed health care foisted upon them in what is nothing more than a power grab that will steal our God-given liberty and freedom. We have the very best medical care in the entire world. Don’t destroy it.

Thou shalt not kill

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel is the “Special Advisor for Health Policy” for your administration. Emanuel has the unmitigated gall to criticize the physician’s Hippocratic Oath. It appears that he believes it’s overused and possibly outdated. The American people are telling you to leave our doctors, nurses, and heath-caregivers alone. These dedicated men and woman are not interested in Emanuel’s strange eugenics obsessions.

Physicians usually take some form of the Hippocratic Oath, committing to use their power to help the sick to the best of their ability and judgment. They try to do everything they can for the patient. However, Emanuel wants doctors to look beyond individual human needs and consider “social justice.” Within his twisted mindset, it’s perfectly humane to suggest that doctors center their focus on hard, cold calculations that place more value on bureaucratically-defined budgets than people. Presumptuously, Dr. Emanuel believes that communitarianism is above reproach. It should guide decisions on who gets care. Such detached opinions lead him to say that medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens. For example, he would not provide health services to patients with dementia and other serious mental challenges.

Thou shalt not covet

Because our power-hungry president seems so anxious to impose ill-considered “change” on our nation, he might want to think about puttering in the wife’s victory garden, or finding a hobby of his own besides shooting hoops. That would be much more constructive than continually wreaking havoc with our personal lives and destroying everything we hold dear — including the land we love.

“We The People” are rightfully enraged; Obama’s intention to transform this magnificent country for the worse is finally being exposed. Our president’s anti-American, Saul Alinsky-based ideals are not compatible with the Founding Fathers’ vision or the Constitution, which has stood the test of time.

Mr. Obama, “We The People” reject your schemes and your Marxist ideology, which has been cleverly put to use to collapse our country’s monetary system.

We voted you into office, and we can show you the door. Your job, and your comings and goings, are at our pleasure. Stop spending taxpayers’ hard-earned money — immediately. “Spreading the wealth around” is socialism; understand that we want none of it. You are more than welcome to take up residency with Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez or Cuba’s Fidel Castro; or you can convince us that you don’t covet what they possess: dictatorial powers over teeming, subservient masses.

May God watch over and protect America.

If Christians fail, America will also

Our Christian beliefs have been trampled upon to the point that they do not have the positive impact they should upon our nation or our personal lives. There are far too many Christians who are still drinking doctrinal “milk” and have remained spiritually immature. We live in a land where many Christians are biblically illiterate and prone to fall prey to every whim and foolish thought. God commands His servants to “study to show yourself approved before God” (2 Timothy 2:15).

All one has to do is listen to the George Noory show or Michael Medved’s “conspiracy day” on conservative talk radio to hear what professing Christians are embracing. It’s shocking and sad. What does light have to do with darkness?

“I [Jesus] have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness” (John 12:46).

Need for spiritual rebirth

It seems that few within Christendom are truly “born again.” They do not seek the Lord to strengthen their lives; rather, they pick and choose from the doctrinal teachings of their denomination or church of the week. God is set aside in order to accommodate their own comfort zone. This is the church’s biggest spiritual dilemma, and if one reads the newspaper, the effects can be seen: We are reaping what we sow, and lawlessness abounds.

The evangelical mega-churches have become entertainment centers where God’s Word is lost amongst the contemporary music and the jokes that glibly roll off the tongues of pastors who appear to be auditioning for American Idol. These types of “bless me” churches appeal to people who want to feel good, while the church fills its coffers. Once again, the Lord and His Word are lost within the razzle-dazzle lights and pablum sermons.

Members of these churches do little when it comes to donating time to their communities. They are like gypsies who rush from one church to another.

Progressing downward

In retrospect, it is curious that the Obama administration swept into Washington with the blessings of two prominent pastors. One was straight, and the other a practicing homosexual. Pastor Rick Warren sparked a “culture war” as he stood side by side with Gene Robinson, the gay Episcopal minister who also delivered an inaugural invocation. It set the stage for America’s journey across treacherous “common ground.”

Our country is inundated with false notions about homosexuality. The consensus in America at one time appropriately considered it to be deviant behavior. As a result of allowing progressives to set the moral tone in America, we foolishly fell into having a debate about same-sex marriages and what is considered “hate speech.” If SB1234 becomes law, no pastor will be able to preach on the topic of homosexuality without the fear of prison. It’s already happening in Canada. What will happen when a denomination refuses to marry gay couples in their churches and is faced with a lawsuit? Elections have their consequences; they’re coming like a steamroller.

A time of harvest

Like many mega-church pastors, Rick Warren minimizes sin and judgment in order to appeal to those attending his Saddleback Church in Southern California. He has been accused of not strongly defending traditionalists and for allowing New Age teachings known as the Spiritual Formation Movement a foothold within his own church.

As members of the family of God, we should ask why some willfully ignore God’s Word and follow misguided, social-justice churches with pastors who delight in dredging up the past and conveniently forget the progress that has been achieved in America. Today, anyone can be what they want to be in America. When will we all learn to grow in loving stature and forgiveness, and not assail the Most Holy God? Bigotry and preaching separatism are sinful. Do you hear me, Rev. Jeremiah Wright?

A vibrant people of faith are active in doing good works for their fellow man out of love for the Savior. Christianity must go beyond feeding the poor. Our message must be absolutely clear when it comes to answering questions such as Does God exist and Who was Jesus? Christians must be prepared to give answers for their faith in order to help save souls.

“Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” (John 4:35)

Fruit of poor moral judgment

Do not be ill-prepared and taken by surprise. We are living in perilous times. The Book of Revelation is relevant today. I urge everyone to reread it.

In the Book of Revelation, we find a wonderful truth. Our Lord revealed to John a beautiful benefit of studying this book: “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand” (Revelation 1-3).

We read in Revelation 2:23, “I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”

Throughout scripture, the Lord asks us to look after the needy as a matter of discipleship and compassion. The scriptures say not one thing about “spreading the wealth” or big government programs that entangle people in dependency. Socialism robs all people of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, not just the producers.

Since the President put his foot in the Oval Office, he has implemented a socialist agenda, contrary to sound moral judgment and good old common sense. Unfortunately, if Obama’s health care plan is implemented, we will all live to see the day when the elderly will be offered death sentences. Euthanasia will become the norm. Liberals have no problem with abortion, including the hideous late-term procedure.

Religious contrasts between conservatives and liberals

The agendas of the progressive left and its dominance have had an effect on our great nation’s morality. The result has been a decline in moral standards. With a Democratic House, Senate, and White House, there are few checks and balances. It is time for Americans to become aware of the contrary perspectives held by liberals and conservatives. A recent study highlighted many important differences:

Excerpts from The Christian Post: “Faith Beliefs of Conservatives, Liberals Differ Greatly” —

“Social, political conservatives differ significantly from liberals regarding religious beliefs, according to a new study that compared the two groups on more than a dozen religious beliefs.

“Liberals are dramatically less likely than conservatives to say they believe that the Bible is totally accurate in all of its teachings (27 percent vs. 63 percent, respectively), the survey conducted by The Barna Group found.

“Only about a third (38 percent) of liberals say their faith is becoming an increasingly important moral guide in their life. By comparison, 70 percent of conservatives say their faith is an important moral guide.

“Also fewer liberals than conservatives believe that a person cannot earn their way into Heaven by doing good deeds or being a good person (23 percent vs. 37 percent).

“George Barna, the study’s lead researcher, commented that liberals appear to place more emphasis on ‘self-reliance’ and ‘what they personally accomplish’ than on faith or participation in a faith community.

“‘They also seem less inclined to trust the Bible as a moral authority or source of truth, and have less involvement in some type of personal relationship with their god.’

“In contrast, Barna said conservatives are more active in religious behaviors.

“‘They are also more connected to their deity, seeing God as more personal, interactive and involved in their lives than do liberals,’ the researcher noted.

“A little more than half of liberals (54 percent) say their religious faith is very important in their life, compared to 82 percent of conservatives. The importance of faith in the life of a social or political liberal compared to a conservative can also be seen in the difference in church attendance and how they view it.

“Thirty-seven percent of liberals say the church they currently attend is very important in helping them find direction and fulfillment in life whereas 62 percent of conservatives say church is important as a guide in their life.

“In a typical week, conservatives are more likely than liberals to read the Bible other than at church (57 percent, vs. 33 percent); attend religious service (62 percent vs. 35 percent); pray to God other than at a religious service (91 percent vs. 76 percent); share their religious beliefs with others during the past year (56 percent vs. 39 percent, among born-again Christians for each group); and have participated in a short-term missions trip in the U.S. or in another country (12 percent vs. 6 percent).

“The survey also found those liberals are more likely than conservatives to develop their own set of religious beliefs rather than adopt those proposed by a church or other entity. More liberals than conservatives also said they are very open to adopting different moral views than the ones they currently have.” Full Article

The Rock of Christ

With the stark contrasts between progressives and conservatives, many cannot understand how extreme moral policies are accepted by those who call themselves Christians. There is little of what progressives embrace that is Christ-like or scriptural. To the progressive, a baby’s life, while in its mother’s womb, is cheap, same-sex “marriage” is acceptable, and children should be taught that the gay lifestyle is normal. When the Word of the Creator God is twisted and distorted, it leads to social degradation. We are already there.

Repeatedly, there comes a clarion call to spiritual revival and rededication to a loving God. America, it is the time to meet current conditions head-on, with faithful hearts, if we are serious about taking back our beloved country. If Christians fail, America will also.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

“That wasn’t me” says President Barack Hussein Obama

While driving home from work one evening on a very rainy night, I stopped for a red light and saw a disheveled-looking man who seemed to appear out of nowhere. He held a squeegee in his hand and began to wipe my windshield. It made no sense to me as it was steadily raining. He obviously wanted me to give him some money.

Suddenly, the intermittent wipers kicked in, and the one on the driver’s side was broken by his squeegee. He yelled at me: “It’s really not my fault.” Muttering profanities, he disappeared into the night. I was left to drive home with a broken wiper blade on a rainy night. I thought to myself while straining to see through the rain: “If it wasn’t his fault, whose fault was it?

People often find a need to hold others culpable for their own wrongdoing, even when there is no logic to their reasoning whatsoever. Those who cheat on their income taxes may rationalize that it’s the government’s fault for mishandling their money, or that the tax rates are too high.

It appears to me that no matter what people do wrong, some will always find an excuse for it. There are far too many who have become adept at avoiding even the idea that they have acted irresponsibly.

Self-deception

Blaming others goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden. The Almighty Himself had to question the two people He created who had fallen into sin. Adam and Eve were asked some pretty tough questions. “Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So Adam said, “I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” (Genesis 3:9-11). Please look at the pathetic excuse Adam gave to God: “The woman you put here with me — she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it” (Genesis 3:12).

Adam gave an accurate account of what happened. However, that was not the entire picture. His response was an attempt to deflect responsibility for his mistake onto someone else. And if you read very carefully, you’ll see that he had the nerve not to only blame Eve, he also blamed God. “Hey,” Adam said, “it’s not my fault I ate it — it’s that woman you gave me that made this happen.”

This was the very first time mankind began passing off blame onto others. And humanity has been doing it ever since. It would be refreshing if people took responsibility, instead of trying to put a positive spin on absolutely everything wrong that they have done.

Deceiving the public

Lies and blame flourish within the political arena. Take, for instance, President G. W. Bush and his administration. Bush was continually being viciously attacked by members of the Democrat Party for political gain. They became contemptuous vipers.

While America was at war against terror, a very strange act of transference was taking place. The opposition deflected their own dishonesty toward a Republican president and his cabinet. The “culture of corruption” was the slogan used to help erode Bush’s credibility during the first two years of his second term.

The drive-by-media succeeded in demoralizing our country on every front. Lies about Iraq, our troops, and the Bush economy were laid out daily. By the time Bush left office, the American public’s view of G. W. was not a flattering one.

This propaganda hit its height in Bush’s last months. As the housing debacle took place, everything began to unravel. Eventually, we saw a decent and humble man who kept us safe from terrorism depart from Washington, D.C., to build his presidential library, museum, and institute in the State of Texas.

‘Barry, we hardly knew ye’

This week, America and its formidable ally Israel once again had to contend with an arrogant, self-serving, vindictive man who felt the need to embarrass his own country by apologizing for America’s generosity and greatness. We have liberated millions of Muslims throughout the world and have saved many of their lives. Where is the acknowledgement for doing so? We did not hear that in Obama’s dialogue with the Muslim movers and shakers, just more of his pandering.

For many, it has become evident that Obama does not respect our country — and it’s very likely his disdain for America began in his early childhood. His formative years were unsettling. His Kenyan father abandoned his mother; she was forced to rely heavily on her relatives to bring up her son.

Obama’s Chicago friends were antisocial, anti-America radicals. Williams Ayers and his wife are still unrepentant terrorists. As Obama and the media tried to stifle the news concerning his Muslim upbringing, they also covered up the full picture of who our president’s friends and political allies were.

Like many taught in the Saul Alinsky mindset, our president always puts the blame on others for what he is doing to our country. It’s always the past administration’s fault. “That wasn’t me,” President Barack Obama said while disclaiming responsibility for the huge budget deficit waiting for him on day one. Yet in four short months, he has spent more of taxpayers’ money than any president who has held office since the founding of this country. And with this outrageous spending, there is no accountability.

Man of many disguises

The president is not really a cool and laid-back nice guy. He just appears to be. He disguises his true character. No one steps on Barry’s toes or speaks badly about him without feeling his anger. He will take action against anyone who tries, including the same media that helped put him into the White House. He will take on heads of state even if it means rudely snubbing them. To those who displease him, he removes the opportunity of having a photo op with America’s “historical” president.

People in power within the United Kingdom, France, and Germany understand that Obama is a person who is extraordinarily impressed with himself. It’s most unfortunate that Obama does not understand that foreign leaders are laughing and snickering behind his back — including the leaders of Al-Qaeda.

Barack believes that when he speaks, he can sway anyone. He told Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that he “has a gift.” As this president cavalierly captains our nation toward the brink, he maintains a vision of himself as one who possesses special abilities. That is frightening to those of us who know better. Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam told Obama who he was. “Barack has captured the youth; he will bring about universal change.” “The Messiah is absolutely speaking.”

His most recent speeches shed light on mounds of deception. Throughout his campaign, no one was allowed to use his middle name without being attacked and maligned. When photographs of Obama surfaced with him wearing Kenyan garb, the mainstream media immediately denounced their authenticity. When it came to his professed Christian faith, there were no questions asked by reporters or journalists that would have given Americans any true insight. The electorate voted blindly.

Irreligion

Two years ago, author and columnist Erik Rush brought to America’s attention the connection between Obama and Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Mr. Rush appeared at the time as a guest on Fox News’ Hannity & Colmes show to expose this and enlighten America about what few understood.

Churches that teach Black Liberation Theology are not biblically-sound denominations. Liberation theology is nothing more than bigoted, anti-Semitic hatemongering. Its roots come from Marxism. God’s Word refers to such false teachings as Babylon. Babel became known in a pun as balal, which means confusion. (See Genesis 11:1-9.)

Americans who voted for Obama would have not done so if they fully understood who he was and how much his religious beliefs would affect his leadership. Many did not see Obama as a far-left socialist, nor did they understand the extent to which Obama has embraced the teachings of Afrocentric black nationalist “churches.”

To this day, Obama and his family have not chosen a new Christian church, nor have shown any interest in doing so. They are not seen attending services on any given Lord’s Day.

Megachurch Pastor Rick Warren should have thought twice before he considered giving any support to a man who seems to have issues that are related to his spirituality. In retrospect, Warren should have taken a wise man’s advice before he befriended Obama. “Trust, but verify.” — Ronald Reagan

The First Family closed their doors during the National Day of Prayer. It raised disappointment within the Christian community. The National Day of Prayer has long been essential to America’s heritage. Traditionally, U.S. presidents have taken part in honoring the faith of our forefathers. But then Obama says America is not a Christian nation. He will continue telling that lie, even in Muslim countries. According to him, we have one of the largest Muslim populations. In reality, America has the second largest Jewish population in the world next to the State of Israel.

Anti-Israel

New polls show that Americans do not like where Obama is taking this country. Many are beginning to understand the dangers of his political ideology. Just weeks ago, another poll voiced the public’s growing concerns. Americans want checks and balances to curtail much of Obama’s agenda.

We have had the truth denied us a by media that willingly participates in shielding this president. From the beginning, there never was any transparency concerning Obama. People are befuddled and confused; even as they see our economy continue to tank and jobs disappear, they still cling to the slogan of “Hope and Change.”

The president delivered an eloquent outreach speech to Muslim nations. What has he accomplished but to bring more scorn upon the State of Israel and the United States of America?

Excerpts from The American Thinker: “Obama’s speech to the Muslim world,” by Leo Rennert —

“President Obama promised that he wanted his Cairo speech to be the start of an “honest” dialogue with the Muslim world. When it comes to how he handled the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, he fell short.

“He began his remarks on this issue by recalling a long history of anti-Semitism and persecution of Jews, culminating in the Holocaust. He denounced Holocaust deniers and those who would threaten Israel ‘with destruction’ — but without mentioning Iran or Ahmadinejad.

“Seeking to sound even-handed, he then immediately drew an equivalence between historical Jewish suffering and the lot of Palestinians. “On the other hand,” he remarked, ‘it is also undeniable that Palestinians have suffered in their pursuit of a homeland — for more than 60 years they’ve endured the pain of dislocation.” He pointed to Palestinians still waiting in refugee camps and Palestinians who have to ‘endure the daily humiliations — large and small — that come with occupation.’ Their situation, he said, is ‘intolerable’ and America will support their legitimate aspirations for ‘dignity, opportunity and ‘state of their own.’ And that’s where Obama failed to speak ‘honestly’ about Palestinian pain and its causes.

“For starters, he drew a totally false analogy between the Holocaust and the Palestinian pain of ‘dislocations’ and ‘daily humiliations’ under Israeli occupation. The parallel between the deliberate slaughter of 6 million Jews and the lot of Palestinians in refugee camps and in the West Bank and Gaza, where the UN supplies them with schools, food and shelter, is unsupportable.” Full article

Fight back

Obama’s words might have tickled the ears of some Muslim dignitaries. However, many Americans who think objectively and understand world history found them insulting and inaccurate. As he flits all over Europe and the Middle East, Obama purposefully plays every angle toward collapsing our economy. It is his America, not ours. While he undermines the country we love, we are feeling helpless. There is little doubt in the minds of many of us that Obama is pushing our nation down the dead-end road to socialism. After all, he is his father’s child.

We cannot allow our cherished freedoms to slip away. Begin today to fight back and preserve our liberties. Do everything within the law to regain what we have already lost. Wisdom and truth shall set us free from tyranny. Pray and ask the Lord to give you both.

“Today is the day of our salvation” (Luke 19:9-10).

What can I do to help preserve America?

What America needs — if it is to survive in liberty — is a surge in citizen activism unlike anything our nation has ever before seen.

The success of such a grassroots movement will depend on how much individual citizens are willing to do their part to return our country to divinely-inspired principles of self-governance — those principles outlined by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, and those validated by common sense and biblical teaching as self-evidently true.

If you feel you need to “wait for instructions,” or otherwise depend on others — especially those in positions of leadership — to guide and assist you, our country will not survive these perilous times. You must act as though the future of our country depends on you alone, for in a very real sense it does. It depends on the creative, responsible, exemplary initiative of yourself and those you inspire to similar patriotism.

The media hate the truth, and they lie on behalf of Obama

There is a helpless, sinister sense that seems to be hanging like a heavy weight over the country. One can compare the emotion to that of a death of a loved one — America.

Many astute individuals are beginning to understand that something very different from changes of the past is happening to their country. The Democratic National Committee has adopted an extreme, radical-left ideology. It no longer represents the party our parents remember. It would be more aptly renamed the Democratic Socialist Party.

What does a politically-left agenda mean to the average Joe and Jane? Well, unless you’ve been living in a cave: President Obama’s agenda is to increase big government and give us more entitlement programs that will never pan out. He is demanding redistribution of wealth, whether we like it or not. These initiatives will diminish individual liberties — although that, of course, is not being widely discussed.

Every working class individual will have more taxes taken out of their earnings, while a biased media purposefully keeps us ill-informed and even eager for this wonderful change, preparing us to embrace socialism. Since he took office, President Obama has been working hard to undermine our nation. He does not want America to succeed. Obama hates what he perceives our country to be, and he will not be content until he remakes our nation to his liking.

Corrupt agenda

Take, for instance, our economy. It is now far worse than it was before President G. W. Bush left office. For almost seven years, we were living the good life. People had bucks in their pockets and jobs. And Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney kept our homeland safe from terrorism.

Obama has made us all less financially secure and less safe, yet both Bush and Cheney are continuously vilified by the media and the Democrat Party. Obama, meanwhile, gets a “free ride.” He has a long list of political friends and cohorts who have corrupt and questionable backgrounds, yet this is the man who was elected president and is now Commander-in-Chief of our troops.

Timothy Geithner is a tax cheat, yet he was given the job of Secretary of the Treasury. This should have never happened. With Geithner’s input, Obama continues to spend taxpayer (yet to be) earned money and cares little about the private entrepreneurial sector, which grows our economy. What happened to our free enterprise system? The government is taking over just about every aspect of our lives. Were you consulted?

Obama’s policies are all geared to bring down this country as we know it. None of his political, economical, or social engineering strategies make sense, because they’re not meant to. Some of us are taken aback and frightened when we observe the veiled and rationalized seizure of power, but the smooth-talking Chicago thug has at least half of America mesmerized.

Master deceiver

Some Americans desire a check on Obama’s political overreaching. According to a recent poll conducted by McLaughlin and Associates, people are becoming skittish and worrisome.

Excerpts from the Associated Press, April 29, 2009: “Obama disowns deficit he helped shape,” by Calvin Woodward —

“WASHINGTON (AP) — ‘That wasn’t me,’ President Barack Obama said on his 100th day in office, disclaiming responsibility for the huge budget deficit waiting for him on Day One.

“It actually was him — and the other Democrats controlling Congress the previous two years — who shaped a budget so out of balance.

“And as a presidential candidate and president-elect, he backed the twilight Bush-era stimulus plan that made the deficit deeper, all before he took over and promoted spending plans that have made it much deeper still.

“His assertion that his proposed budget ‘will cut the deficit in half by the end of my first term’ is an eyeball-roller among many economists, given the uncharted terrain of trillion-dollar deficits and economic calamity that the government is negotiating.

“A look at some of his claims Wednesday:

“OBAMA: ‘Number one, we inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit…. That wasn’t me. Number two, there is almost uniform consensus among economists that in the middle of the biggest crisis, financial crisis, since the Great Depression, we had to take extraordinary steps. So you’ve got a lot of Republican economists who agree that we had to do a stimulus package and we had to do something about the banks. Those are one-time charges, and they’re big, and they’ll make our deficits go up over the next two years.’ — in Missouri.

“THE FACTS: Congress controls the purse strings, not the president, and it was under Democratic control for Obama’s last two years as Illinois senator. Obama supported the emergency bailout package in President George W. Bush’s final months — a package Democratic leaders wanted to make bigger.

“The economy has worsened under Obama, though from forces surely in play before he became president, and he can credibly claim to have inherited a grim situation.

“OBAMA: ‘I think one basic principle that we know is that the more we do on the (disease) prevention side, the more we can obtain serious savings down the road. … If we’re making those investments, we will save huge amounts of money in the long term.’ — in Missouri.

“THE FACTS: It sounds believable that preventing illness should be cheaper than treating it, and indeed that’s the case with steps like preventing smoking and improving diets and exercise. But during the 2008 campaign, when Obama and other presidential candidates were touting a focus on preventive care, the New England Journal of Medicine cautioned that ‘sweeping statements about the cost-saving potential of prevention, however, are overreaching.’ It said that ‘although some preventive measures do save money, the vast majority reviewed in the health economics literature do not.’

“And a study released in December by the Congressional Budget Office found that increasing preventive care ‘could improve people’s health but would probably generate either modest reductions in the overall costs of health care or increases in such spending within a 10-year budgetary time frame.’

“OBAMA: ‘You could cut (Social Security) benefits. You could raise the tax on everybody so everybody’s payroll tax goes up a little bit. Or you can do what I think is probably the best solution, which is you can raise the cap on the payroll tax.’ — in Missouri.

“THE FACTS: Obama’s proposal would reduce the Social Security trust fund’s deficit by less than half, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center. That means he would still have to cut benefits, raise the payroll tax rate, raise the retirement age or some combination to deal with the program’s long-term imbalance.” Full article

Propaganda arm of government

The president is a well-spoken liar, yet he gets a pass from journalists who should take their jobs seriously instead of being partisan. With freedom of the press ought to come integrity, veracity, and responsible reporting. With few exceptions, there has been very little in the media to tout lately.

“The freedom of the press is one of the great bulwarks of liberty, and can never be restrained but by despotic government.” — George Mason (in the Virginia Bill of Rights), 6/12/1776

What our Founding Fathers had in mind regarding freedom of the press was for the press to have reasonable latitude as a watchdog for the people. Unfortunately, the media have become the propaganda arm of government — selectively informing the public in order to promote a socialist agenda.

Many within the media covet positions in government and ultimately hope to attain such influence. Interestingly, many in government equally covet positions in the media, and ultimately hope to attain positions of influence there. The problem with this is that the media have become virtually inseparable from the corrupt government they are meant to monitor. The media’s job is to inform “We The People.” Instead, they have turned against their own country by becoming activists for the communist usurper who sits in the White House.

There was no way our forefathers could possibly have foreseen the amount of harm the media could generate today. TV, radio, and the World Wide Web have quite literally become the assault weapons of liberalism’s worldview. The American public is no longer being truthfully informed.

“The price of liberty…”

There will be a price to pay for our lack of attention. When all is said and done, the media may cost us everything, including our liberties and freedom. Way too many in the press are agenda-driven, crazed ideologues. A biased presentation is shown nightly on all the mainstream news networks. They taint and slant the political and social issues of the day.

“We The People” must make them stop. Let’s bring them down and force the issue by way of peaceful demonstrations and a boycott of their advertisers. It is about time we began a media blitz of our own. Through concerted action, we can coordinate rallies that end up at the doors of ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and all their alphabetical affiliates.

There is a need for right-minded citizens to regain their confidence that activism can make a difference. Millions of us will be needed to force the media to deliver news that addresses issues important to our lives and our democratic republic.

May we become prayerful and solemn as we consider what The Almighty God might allow to occur in the USA. Under this presidency, we’ve become a nation gone wrong. The Lord judges us as a nation, not only as individuals. Will He withhold His providential care, protection, and intervention from us?

‘You Christians think you know everything’

‘You Christians think you know everything’

While reading the Word on a flight to visit a family member who recently moved from Southern California, I overheard some remarkable comments. I have had some really amazing discussions on airplanes, when a small white Bible seems to become a controversy.

For instance — “You Christians believe you know it all.” Then the next few words that follow are “But you can’t prove that God really exists.” And you know, to some degree, they are correct. It is a tough proposition to prove God’s existence, but not impossible.

And then there is the unfortunate fact that a lot of Christians come across as religious know-it-alls. They know how to spout and fume, but it takes more than an affirmation of one’s faith to convince a thinking mind to believe in God.

What can you say when you meet an atheist who challenges your belief in God? Most atheists think that Christianity is an enormous leap of faith. Allow me to show you what happens when former atheists take that step.

Adoniram Judson

Little Adoniram Judson was an intelligent child. His father did a lot of traveling, which left his mother to do most of the child’s tutoring. When Pastor Judson came home, how surprised and delighted he was to hear that his three-year-old boy could read far beyond his age. We often see much praise for homeschooling and the dedicated parents who provide an excellent education for their children. Needless to say, Pastor Judson was one happy man when his little son picked up the family Bible and read an entire chapter out loud to perfection.

Yes, Adoniram Judson was a very bright boy. However, there’s a risk in being mentally brilliant. It is virtually guaranteed that geniuses will begin to say “Prove it” to everybody about anything and everything. By the time Adoniram arrived at Brown University, he was ready to question all of his professors.

Author Eugene Myers Harrison describes Adoniram in “Giants of the Missionary Trail,” a story about a very clever academic who was “enamored of his brilliance” and mentally “entertained the most extravagant ambitions. [Adoniram's] imagination ran wild as he contemplated his future eminence.” He fancied himself as “an orator, greater than Demosthenes,” who inspired the masses with his eloquence. He thought of himself “as Homer, writing immortal poems,” or as “Alexander the Great, [saddened] because there were no more worlds to conquer.”

It is ironic and pathetic that gifted men and women who receive the gift of wisdom, directly from God’s hand, in many cases turn right around and reject the Giver.

The Apostle Paul was an academic genius who once used his abilities to fight against heaven. Later he wrote: “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:7).

According to the Word, wisdom and knowledge are special gifts from God. When extremely brilliant people reject God, they reject the source of their enormous gifts. Young Judson did just that.

Brown University

In its earlier days, Brown University was known as Providence College. Through the providence of the Almighty God, Judson received his many distinct abilities and insights. Yet he willfully decided that providence had nothing to do with it.

The history books are full of names of intellectual giants who came to a similar conclusion. Take, for instance, men like Friedrich Nietzsche and François-Marie Arouet, better known as Voltaire. Voltaire’s miraculous abilities, coupled with his doubts and vehement opposition to organized religion, were unquestionably precursors to a very bloody French Revolution. Atheism soon followed and became an official religion.

Unfortunately, Voltaire’s attitude and endless skepticism eventually infected the United States of America. By the early 1800′s, Yale University was blown over by the gale force winds of godlessness. Almost all of its students were atheists. Shamelessly, many of the young men on campus shed the baptismal names given to them by their parents and began calling each other by the names of their favorite infidels.

Providence College in Rhode Island was plagued with the same problem. Judson felt the effects of the crossfire. By the time he finished school, he declared himself to be an atheist. Because God had gifted him mentally, whenever he and his father engaged in a discussion about God, Adoniram usually won.

A matter of faith

Christians too often don’t win arguments with atheists. It’s impossible to always be the victor, because at some point people of faith have to turn to the Book and say: “I hold the Holy Bible to be true.” And then the atheist can easily say that “you can read and quote from that book all you want to, but I’ll have nothing to do with it.” They don’t see any evidence. They often say, “If God wants me to acknowledge Him, then He must prove His existence to me.” They need something tangible that their eyes can see or their hands can hold. “It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God” (Matthew 4:7).

Matthew 4:14 tells us that Jesus was hungry following his 40-day fast. Satan appealed to the natural appetite and desires of Jesus. The Savior was tempted like any other human person. He humbled himself and became a human, with all the human weakness, frailties, and desires.

Satan tempted Christ, saying, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Satan questioned Christ’s calling and mission.

Satan uses the same question to tempt people today. “If Jesus is the Son of God. . . .” “If God exists, then why . . . ? You can fill in the blank.

Friedrich Nietzsche and Charles Darwin shook their fist at heaven and said, “There is no God.” Maybe the “Great I Am” should have zapped them with a bit of heavenly reality.

I’m amazed when I read the story of Job in the Bible. With all the trials and tribulations it’s a wonder that he didn’t finally become an atheist. “Why don’t you curse God and die?”, his wife said (Job 2:9). For many people, taking their own lives would have been considered an option when life’s problems continually pile up. Job had everything bad happen to him. In one day, he lost his children, and their families were also killed. He lost his home and his wealth. His health became unbearable. All of his worldly fortune was no longer, while his prayers seemed to go unheard. It would have been more than enough to make anybody feel doubtful that God existed. Sure enough, a righteous man named Job began to struggle with matters of faith.

Job actually said: “Why do the wicked live and become old, yes, become mighty in power? Their descendants are established with them in their sight, and their offspring before their eyes. Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them. Their bull breeds without failure; their cow calves without miscarriage. They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance. They sing to the tambourine and harp, and rejoice to the sound of the flute. They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave” (Job 21:7-13). Job also said: “Though [God] slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him” (Job 13:15).

Coming to grips with reality

In today’s society, Christians are getting verbally beaten up and told to shut up. It’s very unfair and very telling of those who claim to be open to diversity.

However, as a society, we have to collectively find values that seem to work. Our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. Yet we are being told by President Barack Hussein Obama said that America is not a Christian nation. His words are a false misrepresentation of our country. It is apparent that the “progressive” agenda is at play to foster a redefinition of ourselves.

Elections have ramifications that are not always the change God is pleased with. “Ye shall know them by their fruits” (Matthew 7:16).

Was God pleased with a youthful Adoniram Judson? Let’s find the young man marching down the aisle of Providence College — the class of 1807. The organ is playing “Pomp and Circumstance” while he follows in the footsteps of his best friend, named Jacob Ames. His friend played a key role in helping Judson disregard and abandon his Christian faith.

Allow me to give you some good advice before I bring you to the end of a true-life story that took place a long time ago. Doubts befall all of us. Please understand that doubting is not a sin. Lucifer overwhelms us with dark thoughts and with unanswerable questions. It is then that you pray to God and carefully give voice to your doubts to Him. There is a danger to voicing your fears out loud to others. Fall on your knees at night and ask God to show you His truth. Ask The Almighty to keep you from confusing a fragile friend or a trusting child with your doubts. Long after you recover, they might still be doubting. Do not become a stumbling block to others.

Remember that there are two key people highlighted in this true story of faith. Besides Adoniram Judson, who attended a Christian college, there was his classmate and friend, Jacob Ames, who encouraged Judson to discard his Christian worldview.

Ames was an amazing intellectual. However, in the midst of their friendship, an intense, unhealthy rivalry developed. Both men studied politics, philosophy, and religion. Too often they would openly debate with fervor before other students. Much of what was said was self-aggrandizing and unscriptural. Over the short span of two years, in such a setting, Judson’s religious faith began to erode. The constant liberal barrage of atheistic philosophy had its effect on him.

The university seemed to embrace the so-called days of enlightenment. Many scholars were freeing themselves from religious influence and recognizing the great possibilities of the human mind, while forgetting that the Almighty God is a giver of good gifts — not mere man.

It was shortly after commencement that Judson went home. There he sat his parents down and made the announcement that he no longer wanted anything to do with religion or God. He proclaimed himself to be an atheist. He wanted to taste the pleasures of a worldly life. There was no reasoning with him. He broke the hearts of his mother and father. He wanted to be like his friend Jacob Ames, who filled his life with unrighteousness. He left for New York City in hopes of experiencing all the world had to offer. He filled his life with immorality and drunkenness.

Eventually Judson and Ames lost track of each other. One day, Judson decided to go on a trip, way back when people traveled on horseback. Judson and several of his carefree friends spent quite a time clip-clopping their way from one scampish adventure to the next.

In his own words, it was a “wild, careless and reckless life.” After a while, he decided to leave his group of party-seeking friends. He continued sightseeing alone.

One night, he came to a country inn where there was one vacancy. The inn keeper told Judson that the man in the next room was extremely ill, and was probably going to die sometime during the night. It did not bother Judson because, as he told the inn keeper, he was an atheist and death had no sway over his feelings about the matter.

He checked into the inn, and tried to get some sleep. Through paper-thin walls, he could hear the dying moans of a man in pain. He sensed that the anonymous person next door wasn’t just facing death. He heard a man in fear. The poor fellow was evidently dying in terror. And it was then that Judson decided to help. He wondered what he could say to comfort him. After all, he was an atheist. He wasn’t supposed to be afraid of death, but at this moment he realized how little he had to say that might comfort another, or himself for that matter. So he did nothing to help a suffering human being. In his own mind, he felt he had no words of peace to offer.

Death — and life

At the end of your life’s journey, you can be comforted by two thoughts. First, you lived a rich, full and generous life and were a blessing to others. Secondly, there is the promise of an even better eternity that awaits you. The two thoughts can mean a lot to a dying person.

Dr. Adrian Rogers shares an account from the late Jess Moody in his book titled Expect a Miracle But Trust in Jesus. The words have a special meaning as we ponder and consider a young man who feared death:

“In a hotel room, Judson heard the desperate cries of another person. Adoniram Judson’s face was filled with horror and shame. He realized that he was a man without hope. What could he say to a dying man? He pondered just what would he feel like himself when the Grim Reaper came to claim his own life one day.

“Young Adoniram Judson thought with [profound] despair, remembering his friends at Providence College. All of those wasted nights in the boarding house where he had entertained them mocking religion and the Christian faith. Their boisterous laughs rang in his ears, while he took a long look at himself in the mirror. What he saw in his reflection was fear. What would his intellectual friends say now if they could see him cowering?

“The night passed in slow agony. At last it was quiet, and still. The next morning, his soul still [shuddering] over the horrors of the night before, he went to the inn keeper to check out.

“The inn keeper asked the young graduate, ‘Do you have any idea who he was?’

“Judson nodded as he dared to take a look at the face of a dead man who turned out to be his friend, Jacob Ames. He then replied to the inn keeper, ‘He was a scholar from Providence College.’

“Can you imagine? This distraught young atheist had to get on his horse and ride away, knowing full well that his best friend, the scholar who had led him into a barren world of disbelief, had just died in empty fear. Ames, the friend he had admired, passed away while alone and in agony.” (For additional accounts, see Christian Biography Resources )

The good news of Christ

Please pay close attention, because I want to point out something. Even if you are an atheist, there is good news. It’s not too late to be saved as promised in the scriptures. Until this “great controversy” is over and we are up in heaven with God Himself, we are going to live with some unanswered questions. There are always going to be things we don’t know, and heavenly issues we can’t prove. However, God invites us to decide and take a step toward Him even before we learn all the answers and see all the evidence.

And speaking of miracles, that’s precisely what happened to Adoniram Judson. After that night at the inn, he went home and pleaded with his Christian father, “Give me a faith that will stand the test of life and of death of time and eternity.”

Adoniram became a Christian and adopted Ephesians, chapter three, as his enduring motto: “How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”

The President leads America under the guidance of his own destructive beliefs

After a hundred days of Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency, sadly we are finding out the meaning of Obama’s slogan “Change We Can Believe In,” followed by the mantra, “Yes. We. Can.” We now know the meaning of these slick words.

In just three and a half months, we’ve seen Obama yank our country hard to the left — so far to the left, in fact, that we’re fast becoming a socialist nation, along with everything that it implies.

Obama’s background

Obama is the son of an African Marxist intellectual who corresponded with him throughout his college years. He was a disciple of a well-known communist writer and editor who mentored him throughout his teenage years. And he’s a long-time associate of a militant communist terrorist and academic who worked closely with him in doling out a multi-million-dollar charitable fund to radical social causes. Predictably, he’s on track to destroy our free society as we know it — if his first 100 days are an indication — and many voters are just now beginning to experience buyer’s regret.

A sleeping giant called “We The People” has finally awakened out of its doldrums, only to discover what many others already understood before Obama was sworn into office. The president is an anti-American who will gladly weaken or destroy the things he doesn’t like about our country. Because of what we are witnessing, there is a widespread feeling sweeping across our land that something went terribly wrong during the last election. There is the question of whether the presidency was unlawfully gained. There are real and deep concerns about the manner in which Obama seized control of power as he deliberately deceived voters and usurped the power to choke America to death. Everything we are seeing has the earmarking of a Marxist political coup.

Say it loud. There can be no more denying who Obama is. He is a Marxist. America cannot allow his destructive ideology to rule our nation. Freedom-loving constitutionalists want America to remain the country they grew up in. Obama and his fascist regime in no wise want our country to resemble the land of our birth. Change has come for the worse.

Fellow extremists

“We The People” understand Obama’s ideological Marxist friends. One is the infamous billionaire George Soros. He is the financier of the smear organization MoveOn.org. He has given millions of dollars to the radicalized Democrat Party, funds that trickled down into Obama’s presidential campaign fund. In 2008, Soros’ Shadow Party was a major force in the progressive movement to hugely expand the Democratic Party’s coffers that eventually delivered the presidency to Obama.

As much as some would rather play down Obama’s upbringing, friends, and associations, it’s not going to happen. More than half of Americans have Obama’s background forever embedded in their brains. And the word keeps spreading as our country continues to tank. Every bad thing that is happening to our beloved nation from this vantage point can be attributed to Obama.

With every passing week, Americans wake up to find an increasingly government-controlled economy and the gradual disappearance of free enterprise. Capitalism and entrepreneurship as we know it will be gone, while the American dream is squelched and diminished.

A different drummer than the Founders inspired

President Obama is leading America under the guidance of his own beliefs and not those of our Founding Fathers, or the Constitution that he pledged to uphold. He is his father’s child. Unsavory people have influenced his character. His connection with the notoriously corrupt Chicago political machine is in full display and seen in Obama’s ugly arrogance and smugness.

The Democrat legislators who surround the president are just as flagrant as he is in their dislike for American values. For now, Obama is enjoying the feeling of ultimate power. Rev. Jeremiah Wright, William Ayes, Louis Farrakhan and all of the other Democrat Party lackeys, including members of the Association of Community Organizations (ACORN), known for voter fraud, are laughing up their sleeves. Our ultra-liberal media are also to blame for the demise of our country. They have become activists who are helping to bring about a socialist country.

It won’t be long before Americans will have to give up their basic freedoms, if things continue the way they’re going. There will be limitations on religious expression. Same-sex marriages will be foisted upon our society. The destruction of traditional biblical Christian teaching will become a reality under the persecution of mandatory laws set into place. The pulpits of every denomination will not be able to teach “Thus saith the Lord,” but will become as the sounding brass of political correctness. There is more to come that is too horrible to imagine. It’s all written out in Marx’s Communist Manifesto.

Like father, like son

“As a Nairobi bureaucrat, Barack Hussein Obama Sr. advised the pro-Western Kenyan government there to ‘redistribute’ income through higher taxes. He also demonized corporations and called for massive government ‘investment’ in social programs.

“Writing in a 1965 scholarly paper, Obama’s late father slammed the administration of then-President Jomo Kenyatta for moving the Third World country away from socialism toward capitalism. “‘What is more important is to find means by which we can redistribute our economic gains to the benefit of all,’ said the senior Obama, a Harvard-educated economist.” This is the government’s obligation.’ The “means’ he had in mind were confiscatory taxes on a scale that redefines the term ‘progressive taxation.’

“‘Theoretically,’ he wrote, ‘there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed.’

“‘Therefore,’ he added, ‘I do not see why the government cannot tax those who have more and siphon some of these revenues into savings which can be utilized in investment for future development.’

“As Obama’s father saw it, taxes couldn’t be high enough, so long as the collective benefited. ‘Certainly there is no limit to taxation if the benefits derived from public services by society measure up to the cost in taxation which they have to pay,’ he said. ‘It is a fallacy to say that there is this limit, and it is a fallacy to rely mainly on individual free enterprise to get the savings.’ His son is also pushing massive taxes and ‘investments’ in social programs — at the expense of free enterprise.” Full Article

From bad to worse

Soon the quality and amount of medical care will be decided by an uncaring and intrusive big government. As a result of high taxation, our citizens will simply not have enough money left to buy their own healthcare (if that’s even an option). Private health insurance companies will be forced out of business. Do not let this happen. View

We are going to see terrible days before us, because of an angry, wrathful president and his administration. There are not enough words to express the fear and danger that lies ahead for a once great, noble, kind, and generous nation.

A clarion call is needed to unite God-fearing and morally upright people. All those who believe in liberty need to stand together in the coming months, and protect our Constitution. We must unequivocally take back our country, in spite of the aggressive agenda of Marxism.

Rejoice, rejoice, Jesus is Lord

“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3)

History is filled with the names of people who have changed the way we live and think. Names like Aristotle, the Greek philosopher and student of Plato; Alexander the Great; and other familiar names pass the lips of people who have never read one book about them, because they played such a profound role in the development of human civilization. Others, like Marie Curie, Thomas Edison, Sir Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, and Albert Einstein, are remembered for furthering mankind’s frontiers of knowledge.

However, there is one person, without a doubt, whose name stands out above all the rest. Jesus of Nazareth has had much more of an impact on our civilization. He was the gentle carpenter who changed lives with His earthly ministry. Christ came to a world besieged in darkness, and set the captives free.

Diminishing the Son of God

There are many people who believe that Christ was merely a good man. Christendom, on the other hand, reveres Jesus as God in human flesh. Yet, to this very day, many question that He is the Son of God. Unfortunately, some are within the Christian community.

It is most unfortunate that there is this ongoing debate concerning the personage of Jesus, especially among those who claim to follow Him. The Lord’s identity is under attack by denominations that choose to ignore biblical teachings of the body of Christ. They would rather use the name of Jesus and incorporate Him in man-made theologies than embrace the purity of God’s Word.

There are self-appointed groups such as the Jesus Seminar that believe their own wisdom can determine the authenticity of Scripture. The result is that they continually call into question whether Jesus was God in human flesh who dwelt among us.

Evangelical and conservative Christian scholars have fervently questioned the methodology as well as the arrogant ideas of the 150 individuals who make up the leadership roster of the Jesus Seminar. Other denominations akin to this one are in every city in America. They are constantly trying to tear down the Christian faith by substituting truth with error. “For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14).

“To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20).

Deception and sin

When men believe their own religious folly, there usually is a sin problem that they refuse to turn over to The Almighty. They cherish their own ways. Such individuals will always experience a spiritual downward fall, which usually begins with self-pride and rebellious deceit. The seared minds of reprobates gravitate to the father of lies until truth becomes blurred by misguided fallacies. Many are lost forever because they have hardened their hearts and no longer hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Man’s questions can be sufficiently answered by reading what the Bible has to say about Jesus. There is no good reason to be deceived or confused. Everyone possesses a desire that springs from the heart to believe in a place beyond the grave. There is a yearning to go home and have eternal life with our heavenly Father. The Holy Scriptures give account and evidence that prove who He is. If Jesus is not God, then all that His life can offer is merely good moral ideology, and He cannot grant anyone eternal life.

Witnesses of the risen Lord

The question of Jesus and His righteousness is extremely important and timely as liturgical churches have entered into the Lenten Season. All of Christendom prepares for the glory of Easter Day. Only the Son of God could die for our sins.

Shortly after Jesus’ death and resurrection, He met two downhearted disciples conversing with one another about His empty tomb as they walked on the road to Emmaus. He said, “O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

“And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself” (Luke 24:12-27).

At the end of their journey, as these men were gathered with the eleven disciples, Jesus appeared again and said, “Peace be unto you.” The frightened disciples thought they were seeing a ghost. Jesus had to show them His wounds and eat a piece of fish to prove that He was alive.

Because they were still not sure what to make of Him, Jesus explained how He had fulfilled the scriptures by His suffering, death, and resurrection. He then said, “Thus it is written that Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things” (Luke 24:28-48).

Biography foretold

There are prophecies in the Old Testament that are so precise that they could not possibly have been fulfilled naturally. Within these prophecies, the supernaturalism of Jesus is revealed.

Most people’s biographies are written after their death. Not so with Jesus. His biography was written before He was born. I find that remarkable.

In addition to the prophetic words of Isaiah 53, take a look at the book of Micah. The prophecy in this book is quite amazing because it reveals the exact birthplace of Jesus. The Prophet Micah penned his words looking far into the future:

“But thou Bethlehem Ephrata, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of these shall He come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting” (Micah 5:2).

God’s patriarchs and prophets foretold that Jesus Christ would be born in Bethlehem of Judea. It was not a coincidence that a decree of Caesar Augustus brought the holy family, Mary and Joseph, to Bethlehem, the exact night of Christ’s birth.

How did Micah the prophet know 700 years in advance that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem? It’s simply impossible to know unless a loving Creator God was involved laying out His plan for man’s salvation.

If we could step back in time and interview people living in Nazareth when Mary’s pregnancy was quite advanced, we could have asked the people just where they thought the child was going to be born. They would obviously have said Nazareth. However, miracles happen. Christ was born in Bethlehem, exactly as foretold.

Rejoice!

Jesus was more than just a good man or rabbinical teacher. He is divine. As followers of the living Christ, we are partakers with Him through the blessed cross of Calvary. And when this life is over, we have an eternity that awaits us in the city, New Jerusalem.

Rejoice, rejoice. Jesus is Lord.

Imagine waking up one morning prepared to do your daily Bible study and discovering that Exodus Chapter 20 had been completely erased. The Ten Commandments were missing. Of course, you would wonder what possibly could have happened.

You then become panicked as you quickly turn to the New Testament, only to discover that the Sermon on the Mount had vanished as well. The verse about loving one’s enemy was gone. Even the Golden Rule had disappeared. Upon closer examination, you discover that every guideline concerning living a better way of life was gone.

Non-believers suggest that humanity is on its own, and that’s all right with them. They believe they are justified in finding their own way. They feel comfortable that a sense of “the collective good” (which keeps them from becoming destructive to one another) will prevail, without the need to rely on God.

It’s undeniable that horrors and hurts have been inflicted upon the world in the name of religion, including Christianity. Some misguided men within the ministry have perceived their actions as God’s will. In eras long past, persecution was wrongly justified. Innocent people were literally destroyed by those who didn’t agree with them. These shameful acts will never be forgotten.

On the other side of the fence lies the question: What are the results when God’s Word is totally rejected and the Almighty’s laws are distorted or ignored? Do we fare any better?

When there is no moral authority

If you’re not a religious person in any real sense, then you reject the authority of a loving God. If so, what stops you from acting in a manner that is morally wrong?

We live in a country where some of our politicians can be bought and paid for — those who possess little or no sense of moral obligation. There is a big problem when our nation’s Treasury Secretary is a tax cheat.

Timothy Geithner is the Obama administration’s embarrassment. The fact that Geithner is a law-breaker does not seem to bother those who voted for President Barack Hussein Obama. We’ve obviously become a nation of foolish people who no longer see right and wrong in clear, bold, and distinctive colors.

“Thou shalt not steal” is a commandment that is uniquely germane to the culture in Washington, D.C. Soon, those who earn $250,000 or more will be paying higher taxes. This president seems to believe it is noble to redistribute wealth — but Obama merely wants to rob from those who have and give to others in order to shore up his own political capital.

The entitlement trap

Americans are generous people. In down times, our country has always made provision to lend a helping hand when our fellow citizens need lifting up. But social programs were intended, at best, to be a temporary fix, not a way of life.

Actually, it is cruel to facilitate this type of entitlement mentality. People who live on government programs lose their dignity. They fall prey to their own insecurities. Many of them never become successful achievers and accomplish the American dream. The Democrat Party can be blamed for this dilemma. They see people as nothing more than a voting bloc to be manipulated.

Caring conservatives are saddened when they see what is happening within the black community. Too many lives are broken. Too many live in the past, continually looking backward, instead of acknowledging America’s noble achievements and their own God-given potential. Some are willing to blame all of their cultural problems on slavery.

Christians must focus on Obama’s liberal social agenda. They need to continually point out to those living in the inner cities the dire effects that an ever-expanding welfare-nanny state will have on poor communities. Traditionalists and people of faith understand how religious beliefs encourage personal responsibility, as well as civic pride. If Europe, with its overwhelming welfare rolls, is a reliable indication, it just might be that Obama is willfully taking the United States down the path to hell.

Deceiving the undiscerning

It is obvious that Evangelical and Catholic Christians were purposely targeted during Obama’s campaign. He went out of his way to attract churchgoing Americans. Obama spoke about his faith when he took part in Pastor Rick Warren’s special forum held at the Saddleback Church. Obama managed to fool naive and trusting God-fearing voters. Obama lied about himself — while his campaign downplayed his outrageous radical social views. He continued lying by putting an emphasis on a contrived commitment to tolerance and civility toward those with whom he disagreed.

Let it be understood that it was Obama’s purpose to exaggerate the ways in which his progressive policies and positions were consistent with biblical faith. Unfortunately, his beliefs are far from the gospel of Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. “You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act” (Matthew 7:16).

It is most unfortunate that Obama’s efforts were successful. Inroads were made among traditional religious people with a “self-inflicted guilty conscience.” If Christians would have heard God’s still, small voice, they would not now be crying over their lack of better judgment.

Outright fraud

It’s too bad that Pastor Rick Warren delivered his inaugural invocation and gave credence to a pandering fraud. Obama has suckered the faithful into believing that his administration is not an adversary of full-gospel, Bible-keeping Christians.

It is a shame that many in our country are not paying attention to the egregious effects of Obama’s stimulus plan, which will encourage more people to depend on the government. People who support more social entitlement programs don’t understand the consequences of Obama’s overextending hand of socialism.

“We The People” are not interested in being led down the very same secular progressive path as the European countries. It is becoming clear that Obama’s ambitions might finally bring Americans out in droves demanding to take their country back.

I have absolutely no intention of playing down my personal disdain for this usurper who sits in the White House. I do question the sincerity of Obama’s religious experience. Black Liberation Theology espouses racism and is definitely Marxist. Obama is a devotee of this bigoted, quasi-religious system. Although he chose to walk away from Trinity United Church of Christ, I believe his heart remains with Revs. Otis Moss and Jeremiah Wright.

False hope

Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs. History records the hard reality of those nations that tried to separate God’s rule from their laws and culture. They never lasted, disintegrating into tyranny and horrifying persecution. The drive-by media never tells the American public the truth, however. When the game of “class warfare” is played out, bad consequences ensue. What is happening to our country is not by happenstance.

The French philosopher Bernard-Henri Levi used to be a Marxist, but later in life found his Christian faith. One of his memorable quotes is very honest and telling: “Apply Marxism in any country you want, you will always find a Gulag in the end.”

It is very strange that progressives say they have brought us hope and change. How can that be? America was founded on our Constitution. The primary danger associated with the rise of the nanny state is that when government assumes the moral responsibility for others, people are less likely to do so themselves.

In countries like Sweden and Denmark, the large increases in welfare spending over the last half century have ended up eroding the moral fiber of families, and have disrupted civic institutions within these societies. Sound familiar? People have become dependent on the big government Sugar Daddy to meet their basic needs.

The problem with welfare dependency is that when people take the welfare state for granted, they are less likely to attend to the emotional, social, and material needs of their family and friends as earlier generations did. As the resultant social pathology deepens, crime, drug addiction, and similar ills begin to stifle lives. With government taking on an ever-expanding role, and with an ever-increasing rise in tax rates to support this growth, taxpayers can easily lose their sense of altruism and feeling of moral unity toward others.

Socialism then becomes self-fulfilling — as it destroys society’s voluntary support system and fills the void with a police state.

Do we want our government to penalize hard-working citizens because they are high earners? A good work ethic should be rewarded because earned wealth creates jobs and promotes healthy, productive capitalism. Why should legislators demand that anyone be forced to share their wealth?

On Nov. 5, 2008, Americans woke up to a very real Marxist coup — although most didn’t realize it. I sat down and cried while a huge crowd gathered and were cheering. I intuitively knew something was very wrong. After watching Barack Hussein Obama aggressively pursue his agenda as president, I now understand why.

Most Marxist coups rely on deception — and that was certainly true of this one. Just about everything Obama said during the campaign was a calculated lie. His handlers and key supporters were equally willing to lie and deceive to gain advantage.

Once Marxists seize power through deception, manipulation, exploitation, and corrupt interference with the political process, they never give it up. It is entirely possible that we will never see the end of the current regime of Marxists in America. In 20 years, the President of the United States might still be a man named Barack Obama. At the very least, we can expect Obama and his fellow conspirators to do everything in their power to ensure that outcome.

Failure equals success

Initially, the objectives of Marxism center in undermining the status quo — for only after the existing order is sufficiently weakened can it be dismantled and a thoroughgoing socialist system installed in its place.

We shouldn’t be surprised, therefore, that Obama has no intention of strengthening or improving our country. His deeply-held Marxist beliefs will drive him to create chaos, disruption, economic collapse, and moral corruption — accompanied by the silencing of his critics — so that from the ashes of American civilization, a socialist nation will arise to lead out in collectivizing the world.

The vision of Marx — that from the utter destruction of Western civilization, a world order of near-total communalism will emerge — has never been proven to work, for the theory can’t be tested in advance. Thus, ideologues like Obama are foolishly willing to risk everything of value for a theoretical dream. Unfortunately, that dream is completely false and morally bankrupt. Only persons who lust for power over others would buy into the unfounded premises, evil methods, and unmatched threat that we call Marxism.

Sleight of hand

The scale of Obama’s deceptive folly is nothing short of horrifying. After all, this pretender is in many ways the embodiment of his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a demagogue who has long preached class warfare, social chaos, and loathing for America. In fact, I believe Obama may have taught Wright a thing or two. Each day he is in the Oval Office, American jobs are slipping away, while many Americans have lost a lifetime of hard-earned savings that will never be recouped.

Despite liberally casting good money after bad, the president has done nothing to help Wall Street or Main Street. As reflected in the stock market, everything is worsening because Obama’s stimulus bill makes no economic sense. His propaganda produces extreme fear among Americans. Meanwhile, our liberties are disappearing before our very eyes. We’ve been had by a smooth-taking, teleprompter-dependent politician from Chicago, where corruption thrives.

Our newly elected president is not fit to lead this nation. Obama is not a reasonable, decent man, and I’m not afraid to say it. He’s the most extreme left-leaning president in our nation’s history. He will continue destroying our country because — as a committed Marxist — he believes it’s his duty to do so. He hates our country’s guiding principles, and wants to change our nation to please his own radical ideology.

Cloward-Piven strategy

Forty years ago, two far-left Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, wrote an article for the radical magazine The Nation. Published in 1966, the article laid out a plan for dismantling the American free-market system by increasing demand on government programs to the point of collapsing the economy. This would open the door to implementing socialism by nationalizing private institutions. We are witnessing just such a takeover of our country — while no one raises a hand to stop it.

Excerpts from the Oct. 15, 2008, Washington Times, “The Cloward-Piven strategy — Using the poor to tear down capitalism,” by Robert Chandler:

“There is plenty of blame to go around for the financial crash. Yet, there is a distinct odor of the shadowy Cloward-Piven strategy as the taproot of abusive practices that triggered the crisis. The strategy’s goal is to bring about the fall of capitalism by overloading and undermining government bureaucracy.

“Its supporting tactics include flooding government with impossible demands until it slowly cranks to a stop; overloading electoral systems with successive tidal waves of new voters, many of them bogus; shaking down banks, politicians in Congress, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development for affirmative-action borrowing; and, now, pulling down the national financial system by demanding exotic, subprime mortgages for low-income Americans with little hope of repaying their loans. These toxic mortgages are an important source of the foul smell engulfing the entire financial bailout.

“Developed in the mid-1960s by two Columbia University sociologists, Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, much of their strategy was drawn from Saul Alinsky, Chicago’s notorious revolutionary Marxist community organizer. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) succeeded the National Welfare Rights Organization in the execution of the Cloward-Piven grand tactics of using the poor as cannon fodder to tear down the capitalist system. It was low-income, mostly black and Hispanic people, who were used by ACORN guerrillas to take subprime toxic mortgages.

“An Obama campaign dispatch on October 6 had the right perspective in observing that ‘the backward economic philosophy and culture of corruption that helped create the current crisis are looking more and more like any other major financial crisis of our time.’ True enough.

“The root causes for the 2008 financial panic were sown some 40 years ago when the Institute for Policy Studies, the notorious ‘Think Tank of the Left,’ held socialist seminars geared toward undermining the American capitalist system. Beginning in 1964 and continuing to the present day, the Institute for Policy Studies has used seminars especially scoped to influence congressmen and their assistants to support the ‘progressive,’ that is to say ‘socialist,’ viewpoint. A 1969 ‘Housing and Property’ seminar, hosted by the Institute for Policy Studies, for example, treated Capitol Hill denizens to mind-stretching leftism. Bringing together speakers from big-city tenants councils, neighborhood legal services, FHA insurance, savings-and-loans entities, and the Shannon and Luchs Realty Company, the Institute for Policy Studies “plinked” the first domino that led to the current crisis.

“At about the same time that the Institute for Policy Studies was holding the 1969 ‘Housing and Property’ seminars, it was also conducting ‘Experimental Education’ seminars in January-April 1969, for federal legislators and their aides that included Bill Ayers, an Obama confidant and Weatherman terrorist, as a guest speaker. According to the Senate Subcommittee on Investigation, 4,330 bombings occurred in the United States, about nine a day, from January 1969 to April 1970.

“The socialist test case for using society’s poor and disadvantaged people as sacrificial ‘shock troops,’ in accordance with the Cloward-Piven strategy, was demonstrated in 1975, when new prospective welfare recipients flooded New York City with payment demands, bankrupting the government. As a consequence, New York state also teetered on the edge of financial collapse when the federal government stepped in with a bailout rescue.

“The 2008 financial crisis has all of the earmarks of a Cloward-Piven strategy assault against the capitalist system. Stanley Kurtz of the Ethics and Public Policy Center recently explained that ‘community organizers’ (1) ‘intimidate banks into making high risk loans to customers with poor credit,’ (2) ‘occupy private offices, chant inside bank lobbies, and confront executives at their homes,’ and, through these thuggish tactics, (3) compel ‘financial institutions to direct hundreds of millions dollars in mortgages to low-credit customers.’ ‘In other words,’ Mr. Kurtz explained during a presentation at the Hudson Institute’s Bradley Center for Philanthropy and Civic Renewal, ‘community organizers help to undermine America’s economy by pushing the banking system into a sink-hole of bad loans.’” Full article

Prescription for havoc

Cloward and Piven said in their 1966 Nation article that the ruling classes were using welfare programs to control and weaken the poor, thus suppressing the fires of rebellion. Cloward later told the New York Times in 1970 that the poorest people among us can advance only when “the rest of society is afraid of them.”

Cloward and Piven wrote in the Times that rather than merely pacify the poor with government hand-outs, dedicated activists should seek to sabotage the welfare system itself by overburdening it. Then the poor would revolt and force “the rest of society” to accept their demands. Are we just going to wait until all havoc erupts before we speak out and try to stop this madness?

The Cloward-Piven strategy has been heavily financed and supported by radical socialist billionaire George Soros, the moving force behind the “Shadow Party” that dominates our nation’s left wing. And today, the Cloward-Piven strategy continues to be used by the anti-American left. What else lies ahead for our embattled nation? May The Almighty help us.

When you hear people such as Rush Limbaugh say that they do not want President Obama to succeed, now you know why. They want America to remain a republic with a free market system — not a socialist state. They want Americans to succeed while experiencing the self-respect and dignity that come with being an achiever. The freedom that comes with achievement restores the human soul.

Too long, minority groups have been told by the Democrat Party that they need big government to rule over their lives. Conservatives want all people to reach their dreams by genuine accomplishment — not by the sweat of another’s brow.

The Pendulum Swings

There are people who have many misconceptions of Christianity. Some believe it is a heavy weight of do’s and don’ts piled upon one’s shoulders. Others believe that it’s an “if you sin, you’ll go to hell” doctrine.

Some believe that preachers are only in the pulpit to make money. There is the proverbial lie that God is always watching to catch you when you make a mistake, and there’s the pesky inconvenience of attending church in the first place.

The human mind can create a list of impossible expectations that lead to fear and a spiritual disconnect of hopelessness. Eventually, people who feel this way close their Bibles and never darken the doors of a church. They make the decision simply not to believe in God anymore.

I suppose one could say some “divorce” God and banish Him from their lives forevermore, but do these same people become born-again atheists? Too often, non-believers come face to face with a hell of their own making.

Living with occasional doubt

I realize that my thoughts are probably not going to reach many atheists. However, my writings proclaim the existence and the power of a loving God. Often, I do touch the hearts of skeptics, doubters, and a few scoffers. Most likely, you are a person who fits the profile of the believer in God who is sympathetic to the idea that there is a Creator who cares. You probably believe as I do, and want to live your life as Jesus did when He was here on this earth.

I believe in God and His word. However, doubts occasionally sneak in. They really do. I then begin to wonder if it’s all true. Did God come to Earth? Will there be a Second Coming? At times, do preachers and the founders of our churches unknowingly deceive themselves and others? Could it be that their faith is merely wishful thinking?

The famous author Clive Staples Lewis found faith late in life. After many years of a fulfilling Christian walk, he confessed that, at times, he had his doubts. This is common among believers while on their way to becoming mature, well-grounded Christians. The pendulum swings for many. There are days when it is easy to believe in the existence of God. Then there are times when we wonder where God is. However, it is interesting that the pendulum of inner doubts and questioning does not just affect Christians. It swings for atheists, also. For you see, it was C.S. Lewis’ direct admission that he lived on both sides of the fence. He was an atheist who eventually became settled in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and lived out the rest of his life as a believer in Him.

Please understand that whichever view you embrace, your feelings will continually attack your convictions. Just as Christians have their moments, atheists have their misgivings.

If you believe in God, there will still be times when it seems that this material world is the only reality. Disbelieve in the Almighty God, and you must face hours when the material world seems to shout God does exists. That is the atheist’s often-undisclosed dilemma.

Lewis explained that if we are believers, we need to fortify ourselves against doubts. He used a phrase “train the habit of faith.” Daily prayer is a must, and spending meaningful time giving great thought to Who we believe in strengthens us. In other words, fixing our minds on God’s love for us becomes factual truth. Christ died so we could have eternal life and live life here “more abundantly.” Meditate on the cross of Calvary, and consider how the Savior of the world, who left the glories of heaven, rendered us an enormous gift that came at an agonizing sacrifice.

Leaping into the void

It is amazing that atheism has become such a force in our world. It is truly sad when many intelligent men and women who are philosophers, educators, and scholars trust only in their human wisdom. They’ve taken the leap of faith into the void of an empty universe. In Psalms, God’s Word says: “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’” (Psalms 14:1).

We love to call the atheist a fool. And our history books are full of colorful stories of brilliant people who have gazed at the stars and foolishly said, “It means nothing. The planets and galaxies got here by themselves, and so did we.” Strange that these leaders, authors, historians, and statesmen often don’t seem to be fools. I suppose some could make the argument that if these brilliant human beings don’t believe, how can you and I stay on the safe path of righteousness?

There is a well-written book I find very helpful called The Real Face of Atheism, by Christian apologist Ravi Zacharias. In his writings, he portrays an interesting picture of us. It begins way back in the late 1950s, when the Soviet Union beat America into space with its first rocket, Sputnik.

In fact, cosmonaut Gherman Titov, speaking to reporters and fascinated crowds at the World’s Fair in 1961, boasted that he never saw God up there. Someone in the crowd retorted that if Gherman would have stepped out of his space capsule for a closer look, he might have been surprised. Gherman glibly said: “I saw no God. There is no God.”

Seven years later, our country made its mark in the space race when we sent Apollo 8 to the moon and back. The people of the world saw an astonishing picture on their television screens. For the first time, we could view earth rise over the horizon of the moon, which glistened in the light of the sun against the black void of space. As this wondrous experience occurred, the world heard, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

Take a good look at these two philosophies. There they were, two groups of highly-trained and well-educated people. When given the opportunity to hurtle through space, one group saw God, and the other saw nothing but darkness and the occasional large rock.

I’ll borrow the words of philosopher Mortimer Adler: “More consequences for life and action follow from the affirmation or denial of God than from any other basic question.”

Surrendering to God’s promises

Allow me to lean in a bit closer and give some of you encouragement. If you’re going to put God on a shelf and walk away, wait! Don’t allow the craziness of this world’s events, or the hurts you harbor, stop you from surrendering to love, faith, and commitment. Have confidence in “peace that passes all understanding.” Please give God’s promises a second glance. A deep abiding relationship with God will grow.

I understand there are many hurt people who have had the unfortunate experience of living under a cloud of religious oppression. People are not perfect, but the Almighty certainly is. Sit down and consider the possibility that God is loving and good, but that there are times when His imperfect children and His self-appointed representatives are not.

There is too much at stake. God does exist, and He most certainly cares for you. Understand that He has a wonderful purpose for your life. Believe in His amazing grace and everlasting love. Wrestle with questions and doubts no more. Believe because the loss is too costly, but the rewards are unimaginable.

The Way, the Truth, and the Life

It has always been my belief that the human race began in a garden called Eden. I have believed that with all my heart since I can remember. I believe what the Word of God says in Genesis, Chapter 1, is completely true. How did we depart so far off course that men and women, made in the image of God, stopped believing in a Savior? “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

I’ve been going to church since I was a little tot. I have learned to understand that there are sinners in the church. I’m one of them myself. Atheists, on the other hand, often will look on in horror while their own lives slide right past them into heartbreak and eventually total disaster. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death” (Proverbs 14:12).

America is facing some very real problems. Put your trust in Him alone. Man will always let you down. God has said: Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. So we say with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.

“The Lord will never leave you or forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5-6).

There is nothing more comforting than holding on to the promises of God. Stop doubting. I don’t pretend to know how to explain every verse, but still, hold on. When you feel your confidence slipping away, hold on and have faith to ask God to give you faith. He promises to do it, right now.
