Hot on the heels of the Massachusetts miracle where Republican State Senator Scott Brown toppled Democrat Attorney General Martha Coakley, a recent WPRI-TV, Channel 12 poll reveals Congressman Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) could be facing his most difficult bid for re-election.

As a concerned citizen and a registered voter I am deeply disturbed that you are
choosing to once again ignore what we have tried communicating to you this past
year! This President and Congress is dismantling our American way of life and
transforming this nation into a socialist country. This is not what we elected
you to do!

Your version of Healthcare reform is reckless and irresponsible. We do not want
more spending and government control over our economy and intrusion into our
lives. How many times do we need to tell you we do not want any version of your
Health Care Reform?

I need TAX RELIEF, not more TAX BURDENS! My child is already being deprived of a
future prosperity due to this government’s reckless and dangerous spending. What
kind of people are you to saddle our children with such a gargantuan debt? It
appears you have no regard for the children of America and their future
prosperity. Did you increase the debt ceiling by $1.9 Trillion to $14.3
Trillion in preparation for another Congressional spending binge? Have you No
Intention to reign in your feckless spending? How does one even begin to
comprehend such thoughtless disregard for this nation’s prosperity and the
security of its people. Such action is treasonous!

You have brought shame to me and America with your treasonous activities for you
have robbed our children of the hope for a better life by putting us all in
peril. How can any elected official do this to us?

I am begging you to not allow this Healthcare bill or Cap and Trade bill or
another useless Stimulus bill to come into being by VOTING NO on all Spending
Bills! They have not and will not work! It is insanity to continue doing the
same thing over and over again, yet expecting a different outcome.

Why such a massive overhaul for a Health Care problem that only needs minor
tweaking? I’m starting to believe there really must be another agenda at work
here for these bills makes no sense to me whatsoever.
Cap and Trade is nothing more than a scheme to redistribute wealth based upon
pseudo-science.

It appears that Virginia, New jersey and the Massachusetts Revolt mean nothing
to you? Will you continue to ignore and disrespect the will of the people who
sent you to office? I never thought I’d live to see a time like this in America.

I urge you to Vote NO for Health Care and YES for Tax Relief.

I and America’s children are depending upon you to STOP the Fundamental
Transformation of America. My children’s future depends upon us stopping this
nightmare now. There simply cannot be any healthcare and additional spending
bills coming out of this Congress.

Mathew Staver on Huckabee’s Show this Weekend to Discuss Changes to Textbooks

This weekend Mathew D. Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, will appear on Mike Huckabee’s show to discuss potentially dramatic changes to the framework of textbooks that are being discussed by the Texas State Board of Education (TSBOE). Huckabee and Staver will be revealing suggested changes, some of which are still under discussion. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Eastern Time.

TSBOE will soon finalize the language that textbook publishers use to align their textbooks to current standards. As Texas is a leader in textbooks, most other states purchase the same educational materials. The textbook controversy in Texas affects every American because, to have a bright future, we must know our past. America has a rich past founded on Judeo-Christian values and to forget them, or worse, to distort them, will doom our future. Those who want to reshape America begin by rewriting our past. We repeat the mistakes of the past when we are ignorant of them.

Some of the suggestions that have come forward at various times include:

Removing references to Daniel Boone, General George Patton, Nathan Hale, Columbus Day, and Christmas.
Including the cultural impact of hip hop music, ACLU lawyer Clarence Darrow, and the Hindu holiday of Diwali.
Replacing the term “American” with “Global Citizen”– stating that students need to be shaped “for responsible citizenship in a global society” without any mention of citizenship in American society.
Replacing expansionism and free enterprise with imperialism and capitalism.
The Board’s next meeting is in March and the final reading and adoption of the social studies guidelines will be in May.

Liberty University School of Law will host a one-day conference followed by a one-day symposium addressing homosexuality and its consequences. The Friday, February 12, conference is entitled “Understanding Same-sex Attractions and Their Consequences.” On Saturday, February 13, the Liberty University Law Review will host a legal symposium entitled “Homosexual Rights and First Amendment Freedoms: Can They Truly Coexist?”

Obama Agenda Crippled as Brown Sworn In, Democrats Fracture in Senate

Washington confronted a new world order Thursday as the Democrats’ supermajority died, taking with it much of President Barack Obama’s agenda and any certainty of his party maintaining control of Congress.

Republican Scott Brown’s swearing-in to the Massachusetts seat held for decades by Sen. Edward Kennedy means that Obama and the Democrats, who still enjoy big majorities in both the House and Senate, can do virtually nothing between now and the November elections without the GOP’s say-so.

I was going to stay out of the fray concerning the Tebow ad set to run during the Super Bowl on Sunday, mainly because I will not be watching the Super Bowl and will more than likely not see the ad. Now I could see the uproar over an ad if it had perhaps Pink doing her latest number almost naked hanging upside down with water being poured on her, but a young man who is talking about how his mother chose to give him life even though there was a chance it would not be the perfect life, I am sorry what exactly is the problem here? Does it offend the senses that a young woman might not want an abortion, that she might go against her doctor’s wishes and it might turn out OK…

In our country the woman’s so-called right to choose effectively destroys the man’s right to choose, it takes away their right to decide if a baby that is legally and morally half theirs should live or die. Now it would appear that Planned Parenthood and NOW would like to take away our right to talk about it when a woman chooses life. It isn’t right, we all know it isn’t right but no one will stand up and say enough, no would be fathers will sue for wrongful death because women supposedly have a right to an abortion. Funny thing is, it is not in the bill of rights, it is no where in the constitution, neither have ever been amended to include it, it is not included under privacy that only covers unlawful search, but a right that does not exist is the law of the land because everyone is afraid to stand up and say it isn’t so.

You can turn on the TV at just about anytime and see two girls kissing, you can watch Pink do her routine in primetime when our kids are watching but don’t you dare have a son talk about his mother with love and respect and thank her for his life, why that would be down right blasphemous… Are we to assume that Planned Parenthood is afraid that they might lose a dollar or two, or that maybe, just maybe it might change some woman’s mind are they that hard up for cash that they cannot allow a simple statement of love and respect from a son to be aired without attempting to counteract it? What are they so afraid of; would it really set back the woman’s movement a hundred years if Mr. Tebow’s ad just ran unnoticed? Are we to assume Mothers Day offends them too, what about Fathers day I mean really they can’t have us celebrating fathers since if we do that some one somewhere might start to wonder about their rights…

It takes courage to come out and talk openly about being someone’s right to choose, about the fact that you almost weren’t even here to talk about it. It takes strength and determination to get as far as this young man has, a young man who if not for the right choice would not have been. It takes even more courage to watch this if you are considering an abortion simply because it will make you think about the life you are about to destroy, it will make you wonder what your baby would grow up to be, because you see even with all the science, even if you call it a fetus, if left to grow they could one day be a Tebow.
